A hellish signal of murderous martial terror, eclipsed by a cacophony of chains and the beating of skin. AVERNUS GATE’s debut “POETRY OF LEATHERED WINGS” is a feral display of obsidian metal, that not-so-quietly acknowledges decades of Scandinavian and Teutonic traditions while simultaneously forging its own path of with distinct melodic sensibilities and Kosmische dread. A mere 29 minutes, POETRY… boldly and succinctly proclaims its prophecy of darkness and dissipates into the mist from whence it emerged.
